Planet Fitness opened it's doors in December 1994 in Lambton, Newcastle. Planet Fitness was born as a result of the Managing Directors adverse lessons in life, coupled with a wonderful belief in health and fitness.

As we all know, without our health, we have nothing. Therefore our founders made a decision to develop a business model of health clubs which would not only be very affordable in price, but also remove the intimidation seen in many traditional gyms.

Planet Fitness™ Health Clubs have evolved to the clubs you see today; fitness centres designed to offer the lowest prices of membership, with State-of-the-Art equipment in a strictly non-judgemental atmosphere. We are determined to remove the barriers that often discourage people from joining a fitness centre.

We deliver low membership prices to members, by the ability to reduce operating expenses in a number of ways.

• We import our own State-of-the-Art fitness equipment, so there are no middle man costs.
• Planet Fitness has developed and operates its own online business and financial systems linking all clubs. This allows a streamlined, efficient business model.

Our Planet Fitness staff are part of our fitness family. The staff are passionate and professional as well as sympathetic to your fitness and health needs.
