Have you always been involved in fitness or exercise?
I’ve always been involved in sports since 9 years of age. I’ve done rugby league, cricket football, Australian rules, lawn bowls, basketball, indoor mixed netball, football referee, Parkrun, and Planet Fitness member – just to name a few!
Did you have a goal when you first joined Planet Fitness?
A couple of goals, to get to my footy playing weight, and try something new. Also as a middle aged old fart, to meet the GP’s needs.
Have you achieved what you originally set out to do?
Yes. I’m now on my GP’s “good” list.
What was your perception of gyms/health clubs before you joined? Has it changed after joining Planet Fitness?
Before I joined I thought “who needs a gym, I can do all of that stuff on my own!” Now I think it’s a fun way to stay fit amongst a large group of interesting and enjoyable members and trainers.
What are your fitness goals for the future?
Biggest obstacles you have had to overcome on your fitness journey?
The alarm clock and my dodgy knee.
What is your weekly fitness regime?
I come to the gym Monday to Friday, do parkrun on Saturday, and referee football on Friday night and Saturday.
