Have you always been involved in fitness or exercise?
I was a dancer and a gymnast when I was younger. I stopped in high school but recently got back in touch with my love for exercise.
Did you have a goal when you first joined Planet Fitness?
To get stronger and for the most part improve my physical and mental health.
Have you achieved what you originally set out to do?
What was your perception of gyms/health clubs before you joined? Has it changed after joining Planet Fitness?
I was always very nervous about coming to the gym as I was afraid people would be judging me. I have become much more comfortable since joining.
What are your fitness goals for the future?
To continue getting stronger and healthier.
Biggest obstacles you have had to overcome on your fitness journey?
My own mind, I constantly had to remind myself that I can do anything I set my mind to.
Do you have any sources of inspiration? If so, who/what are they?
My sister, I started my fitness journey with her in her home gym and she pushed me to keep going no matter how many times I wanted to give up.
What advice do you have for those who are thinking of joining Planet Fitness?
Join! Don’t be afraid and don’t be nervous. No one is there to judge you.
What is your weekly fitness regime?
I train mostly with compound lifts, I do a medium weight day on Mondays, a light day Wednesday and a heavy day on Friday. On alternating days I do more targeted workouts for different muscle groups or I do some cardio.
